Project Details
A thirty-two-room coastal hotel shaped by wind, shadow and the muted colours of Essaouira, organised around a protected garden and a sequence of open-air rooms.
The building is conceived as an inhabited wall against the Atlantic wind. Guest rooms face inward to planted courtyards or outward to long ocean horizons, while deep loggias temper sun and salt air. Local stone, blue-grey tadelakt, cedar and hand-cast metalwork are used with contemporary restraint. Public rooms remain low and generous, allowing the landscape and changing weather to carry the atmosphere.
